Taco Bell Dilemmas

For those of you who know me well, you know that I am somewhat of a Taco Bell aficionado, an addict if you will. I don’t know what it is, but I can’t get enough of it. I think there might be crack in the beans or something.

There are several different items on the menu that I have grown quite fond of. Since there are too many of them to be able to eat in one sitting, I generally rotate between my own personal combo meals. These personal “combo meals” have been created after years of research and have been perfected so that ALL MEALS MEET ALL THREE of the following objectives:

1. Hunger satisfaction – not too much food, not too little
2. Price – All meals are generally around $4-5. Adjustment based on market may apply (i.e. NY is more expensive than FL).
3. Content – All meals are a mix of both crunchy and soft items

Now when I’m able to visit Taco Bell on a fairly regular basis (i.e. every three days), I can rotate between my different combos and satisfy my cravings for the many favorite items I have. For example. on a Monday/Thursday schedule, I can have a Mexican Pizza and Bean Burrito on Monday, and a Cheesy Gordita Crunch and Supreme Gordita on Thursday. Then the following week, I might have a Nachos Supreme and Seven Layer Burrito, before starting the cycle over again.

This concept only really works when I’m able to visit Taco Bell on a somewhat regular basis. By doing so, I am able to have all of my favorite items fairly frequently, without overloading on any one item, and without going too long without eating any one item.

Now for the dilemma….

If my schedule is disrupted, I become an complete mess. For example, let’s examine my predicament today (which is why I am making this post). Its been a little over a week and a half since I had my last Taco Bell visit (which in my book, is like a century). I can’t remember what I ate the last time I went. Even if I could, its been so long that I’d be craving that item again anyway. So at this very moment, I’m simultaneously craving 6 different items on the menu. I’m sweating. I’m off my game. I don’t know which 2 or 3 to select. In a few minutes, I’ll walk down there, stand in line for 15 minutes staring at the menu, and when its my turn, I’ll spit out an order that is so irrational that it will fail to meet any of the objectives above. Wish me luck.

Hey I really really love taco bell and I just got my toncils out and it’s really killing me, I want to go to taco bell and eat everything just to make up for lost time, but I can’t because I am not well enough yet! Taco Bell has become my motive to getting better sooner. Taco Bell saves lives! Sweet
